Patricia Allen was elected to the District IV seat in November 2019, and her seat will be up for election again in 2023. She currently serves as the board’s Secretary. Patricia attended Carnegie and Grimes elementary schools (both now closed), Woodson K-8 School, and Madison High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Houston.
Patricia worked in HISD for 35 years. She taught at MacGregor, Thompson, and Lockhart elementary schools and served as the Principal of MacGregor Elementary for 9 years. She also worked as a teacher trainer, magnet coordinator, and chair of the Shared Decision Making Committee. To learn more about Patricia, visit the HISD Board website.
