Harris County now has Countywide Polling Centers that allow you to vote at any polling location on runoff election day. To find more information about polling locations, visit here. Kathy Blueford-Daniels is a lifelong Houstonian. She is a proud graduate of Wheatley High School, mother of two former HISD students, and grandmother of three. After her 28-year career as a postal manager, she began working as a Community Liaison for State Senator Borris Miles. Kathy is the Precinct Chair for Senate District 13, a member of the board of directors for CAN DO Houston, and former President of the Greater Fifth Ward Super Neighborhood. Kathy is a committed public servant and community advocate who believes Houston kids need to be able to compete globally.
Matt Barnes has more than 20 years of experience working in education from pre-k to university. He serves on the Executive Committee for BakerRipley and the Advisory Board for Energy Institute High School. Matt has three children, two of whom attend HISD high schools. He is the CEO of Educational Makeover, an organization dedicated to providing free educational coaching to low-income families, helping them navigate their kids through the educational system to the best possible academic outcomes.
