Ratings for the Meeting on May 14

On Thursday, May 14, the Houston ISD Board of Education met via Skype for its monthly public business meeting. In addition to updates on the District’s response to the COVID-19 situation, trustees discussed in-district charter policy and beginning the process of seeking District of Innovation status. These issues proved to be rather contentious, as the board adjourned for closed session three times throughout the evening, and the public portion of the meeting lasted more than 8 hours.
